A&R Pistachios of California goes back to 1973, when its founders, Ahmad and Ruth Orandi planted their first trees in Terra Bella, California. Today it is operated by Ahmad, Ruth, and their daughter Linda Orandi Gaylord.

Their first daughter, Margaret Houlton, designed the original logo, created the “Orandi Pistachios” premium brand line, and operated a successful retail market for many years. She is currently a consultant for A&R Pistachios.

The family owns 282 acres of pistachio trees, growing three distinct varieties: Kerman, Kallegoochi, and the Orandi Arya.

The business office is located in Hopkins, Minnesota.
